Lady Sharks swallow up Palatka

Nature Coast hosted a regional playoff game for the first time in team history, and only needed half a field to do it.

If not for goalkeeper Samantha Oliveira, the Lady Sharks’ side of the pitch would have gone almost completely unoccupied in Wednesday’s Class 3A, Region II quarterfinal.

The hosts were more than happy to make their standout netminder a lonely spectator, ushering out postseason newbie Palatka in the process, 4-0.

More shocking than the final score, though, was the shot on goal differential: 32-0. Rarely did the Lady Panthers (17-7-4) even maintain possession in their initial trip to regionals, let alone force Oliveira to lift a finger. more
