FSU Honored Academically By NSCAA

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Three Florida State student-athletes were honored for their performance in the classroom in 2012 as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Senior defender Casey Short and junior defender Kassey Kallman were both recognized as second team Scholar All-Americans by the NSCAA. The Florida State duo becomes the sixth and seventh Seminoles to be named a Scholar All-American by the NSCAA since 2005. Short and Kallman join a growing list of Florida State soccer players that continue to achieve high marks in the classroom year after year.

FSU’s past Scholar All-Americans include India Trotter (First Team – 2005), Katrin Schmidt (First Team – 2007), Kirsten van de Ven (First Team – 2007), Becky Edwards(First Team – 2008, 2009) and Tori Huster (First Team – 2011). more
